611 Forever! 1950-2015
Norfolk & Western #611, the “Spirit of Roanoke,” has been chased since her inception in May 1950. Footage from the 1950s and from 2015 brackets the spectacular shots from a helicopter chasing the locomotive blazing alongside cliffs and through the tunnels of the Appalachians. Feel the thrill of the chase from the air!

Rambling on the Reading (#2124)
They don’t have fan trips like this any more. And there is no way to describe this hidden gem of a title! Back in the early ‘60s the Reading Railroad ran almost 60 “Reading Rambles” with their 4-8-4 Northern 2100 series engines. The father-son team of Bill and Rob McClellan aced the cinematography of these historic excursions bringing us unbelievable footage of these powerful locomotives roaring through coal country and beyond and concluding with a resounding double-headed finale.

Thunder on Cranberry: 614 Battles the Steep Grades
A dazzling show of steam power in a document of a one time event in which C&O #614 takes on the rarely photographed Cranberry Grade, one of the steepest on the Chessie system. Pacing shots bring you right up to the drivers as the engine slows but never falters!
